Rooftop Fundraising Dinner and Concert
Saturday, September 6th
Location: Hotel deLuxe, 729 SW 15th Avenue, Downtown Portland
Appetizers: Open Beer & Wine Table - 6PM to 7 PM
Dinner: 7 PM
Opening Blessing & Chant by the Tibetan Monks
Music: 8:30 PM to 11 PM
Rock Violinist Aaron Meyer and His Band
Cost: $175 per person or $1,500 for a table of ten
The first 8 people to purchase a table will have one of the Tibetan Monks
sit at their table and receive their special blessing.
The Gourmet Meal includes selections of fish, chicken and a Vegetarian menu designed by Paul Wenner of Gardenburger.
Also NW Cheesecake, coffee or tea.
Keynote Speakers & Honored Guests:
His Excellency Ahmad-Zia Massoud, Vice-President of the Islamic Republic
of Afghanistan will speak about the Need for Nobel Peace Laureate Schools
in his country to combat the Taliban & the Pressing of Children into Child Soldiers.
The Tibetan Monks of Gaden Shartse Monastery from India will offer
special prayers for world peace & discuss: "The Dalai Lama's views of
teaching students about world peace & Peace Education Schools in India".
